At the early age of four, Henry Middleton developed a strong desire to become a mortician after experiencing the loss of his grandfather, Mr. Henry Middleton. During this time, he gained a deep interest in the science of preparing the human body for burial and was especially moved by the life-like care provided by the local mortician who handled his grandfather’s funeral arrangements.
From that moment forward, Henry knew that one day he wanted to assist grieving families during their most difficult times. At the age of 15, he began his journey in funeral service when he was employed by Scott’s Mortuary in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, under the leadership of Rev. Milton E. Scott. As a young man, Henry could often be found at the funeral home daily after school, where his experiences helped solidify his calling to the funeral service profession.
After graduating from Timberland High School in St. Stephens, South Carolina, in 2004, Henry continued his education at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Lithonia, Georgia, enrolling in 2018. He earned his Associate Degree in Mortuary Science in 2020.
In 2016, Mr. Middleton founded Middleton’s Mortuary Transport, LLC, where he serves as Owner and President. After operating the transport business for several years and gaining valuable experience, he felt led to expand his calling by opening a funeral home.
In 2022, the doors of Paradise Mortuary & Cremation Services, located at 463 Atlanta Street Marietta, GA opened to serve the community. Through faith and much prayer, Paradise Mortuary & Cremation Services was granted licensure to operate as a funeral home in the State of Georgia.
Throughout the years, Mr. Middleton has gained the knowledge and experience necessary to serve families with the utmost care and respect, ensuring that all needs are met and final wishes are carried out in a dignified manner. He is known for his attention to detail and his commitment to providing compassionate care to every family he serves.
Guided by the scripture, “To whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:48), Mr. Middleton strives to give his very best in all that he does. He firmly believes that his blessings, talents, and gifts are meant to open doors for others and to serve his community with integrity and faith.
